Mounting Brackets & Installation Kits

A Unity spotlight does not bolt straight to a vehicle. The lamp assembly is universal; the bracket that carries it is not. The bracket kit is what makes a given spotlight fit a given body, at a given mount point, on a given side. Getting the kit wrong is the single most common reason a spotlight install stalls.

How do I find the right bracket for my vehicle?

Use the vehicle fitment search. Enter year, make and model and it returns the spotlights that fit and the bracket kit number that goes with them, drawn from Unity's own application data. If your vehicle is not listed, or you are fitting a body that has been modified, contact us before ordering - a bracket that is close is a bracket that leaks.

What is in a kit?

Each kit contains the die-cast or stamped bracket itself, the mounting fasteners, the gasket that seals the pillar or door-frame penetration, and any trim or escutcheon pieces needed to finish the install. Kits are supplied as complete assemblies so there is nothing left to source separately.

Post mount vs pillar mount

A post-mount bracket clamps to the door frame or A-pillar post from outside. It is the faster install, needs a smaller penetration, and the whole assembly can be removed later. A pillar-mount bracket passes through the A-pillar itself for a flush, factory-look fit with the shaft running inside the cabin - stronger and cleaner, but a permanent modification.

Driver side and passenger side are different parts

Brackets are handed. A kit marked RH will not fit the left-hand side. Where Unity supplies both, the part numbers differ by an RH or LH suffix - check the side before you order.

Fitting an existing spotlight to a new vehicle

If you are moving a working Unity spotlight to a different truck, you usually need only the new bracket kit and possibly a different shaft length. The lamp head, handle and wiring carry over. Our team can confirm which parts you need from your existing model number.
