About Defiant
Defiant is a value-focused LED lighting brand covering the three lights most households and work trucks actually need: a spotlight that throws, a lantern that lights a room, and a magnetic utility light for hands-free work. SpotlightDepot stocks six Defiant models.
Handheld spotlights
The 1,000 lumen compact spotlight throws 450 m across three modes and recharges over USB - the most useful of the pair for property checks, livestock and boat work. The 450 lumen model wraps the body in rubber armour and charges from AC or DC, so it lives in a vehicle and charges off the cigarette socket.
What is the difference between a spotlight and a flashlight?
A spotlight uses a deep reflector and a tight beam angle to concentrate light at distance, typically measured in metres of throw rather than in lumens. A flashlight spreads more light closer in. If you need to identify something 300 m away, lumens alone will not tell you - look at the beam distance figure.
Lanterns
Both Defiant lanterns are dimmable. The 1,000 lumen weatherproof model is the camping and power-outage choice; the 300 lumen model adds a retractable string light for lighting a tent or awning rather than a single point.
Magnetic utility lights
Sold as two-packs at 2,000 and 3,500 lumens, with pivoting handles, strong magnets and USB power-bank output. They stick to a vehicle panel or a toolbox and free both hands, which is what makes them worth having over a second flashlight.
